Beach Retreat Guesthouse consistently impresses visitors with its prime location, nestled right by the beach, offering picturesque ocean views and serene surroundings. The easy accessibility to shopping amenities and popular beaches enhances its appeal, making it an ideal choice for beach lovers and those seeking relaxation. The property is particularly favored for whale watching in October, thanks to its top-of-the-ridge positioning.
Guests appreciate the clean and spacious rooms, many of which provide stunning sea views. The beds are widely noted for their comfort, contributing to a restful stay. The housekeeping service is frequently praised for maintaining high cleanliness standards, ensuring both rooms and communal areas are pristine. The remarkable views from private decks and the inviting grounds of the property further elevate the overall experience.
The staff at Beach Retreat Guesthouse receive commendation for their friendliness and helpfulness, making guests feel welcomed and valued. Specific staff members, Nokuthula, Maria and Siya, are frequently mentioned for their exceptional service, adding a personal touch that many guests find memorable.
The outdoor pool, complemented by beach views, is highlighted for its cleanliness and well-maintained condition, providing an inviting spot for relaxation. However, the WiFi service at the guesthouse has received mixed reviews, indicating room for improvement in providing stable and reliable internet access.
While breakfast receives praise for its quality and timeliness, there are calls for greater variety and inclusivity in offerings. Some guests were disappointed that breakfast was not included in their stay. Additionally, while the guesthouse’s setting offers incredible ocean views, the lack of direct beach access means guests may need to drive approximately 2 kilometers to reach the nearest beach.
Despite these minor drawbacks, Beach Retreat Guesthouse remains a stunning and serene destination for travelers looking to enjoy beautiful seaside vistas, comfortable accommodations and warm hospitality.
