The spa experience at SOL by Meliá Costa Daurada Hotel receives mixed feedback with notable positive remarks about the cleanliness and professionalism of the spa team. The spa facilities, including the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, are generally appreciated for their refreshing and pleasant atmosphere. Some guests find the spa to be very good and even highlight that certain services are included with their room, adding good value to their stay.
However, the spa does have its limitations. The facilities are often described as small and overcrowded, particularly with children, which detracts from the expected relaxing ambiance. The indoor pool's limited hours, often only open in the afternoon and spanning just a few hours, frustrates many guests. Additionally, the pool itself is reported to be cold and both the indoor pool and jacuzzis require mandatory swim caps, adding to the inconvenience.
Several services within the spa come at an additional cost, including the use of towels, sauna, steam room and hammam, which some visitors find disappointing. Moreover, the spa facilities, such as the sauna, are sometimes noted to be nonfunctional.
Despite these drawbacks, the spa's cleanliness and the friendly staff do make a positive impression. With some improvements, particularly in scheduling, maintenance and better management to ensure a more tranquil environment, the spa could better meet guests' expectations for a rejuvenating experience.
