The Super 8 by Wyndham Morton Grove/Chicago is generally appreciated for its strategic location, offering guests convenient access to both the city of Chicago and local attractions. Nestled in a charming neighborhood, it provides a peaceful retreat while remaining accessible due to its proximity to a train station. This makes urban exploration easy and offers good value for those attending local events. Nearby dining options further enhance the appeal of the location.
Guests have mixed experiences regarding the rooms, but some highlight positive aspects like spaciousness, cleanliness, and adequate furnishings. Essential amenities, such as a medium-sized fridge and good lighting, are praised for adding convenience and comfort. While affordability is noted as a strong point, the hotel occasionally faces issues with maintenance and cleanliness, impacting guest satisfaction.
Staff interactions are mostly favorable, with many guests emphasizing the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff. The front desk is frequently recognized for its politeness and willingness to assist, which contributes positively to the overall guest experience.
However, the breakfast and cleanliness aspects of the hotel receive notable criticism. The continental breakfast is described as basic, lacking variety and protein options, with expired items occasionally mentioned. Many guests prefer to seek alternative breakfast options nearby. Cleanliness issues are repeatedly criticized, with reports of dirty sheets, unpleasant odors, and worn-out furnishings detracting from satisfaction. Despite these challenges, the staff's pleasant demeanor often compensates for shortcomings in other areas, creating a generally positive impression for guests seeking an accessible location and good value.
