Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Les Terrasses de Saumur - Hôtel & Appartements - Restaurant & Spa (Logis) offers a delightful experience grounded in its exceptional location, superb amenities and warm hospitality. Situated just outside the bustling center of Saumur, the hotel provides a tranquil retreat with stunning panoramic views, particularly of the Saumur Castle, ideal for relaxation while remaining conveniently close to the city's attractions. The spacious outdoor facilities, such as the well-maintained pool, further enhance its appeal, making it a great choice for family vacations, wine tastings and other leisurely activities.
Guests appreciate the serene setting and overall value for money with many enjoying the combination of proximity to the city and peaceful ambiance. The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable and clean with special praise for the spacious studios and apartments, modern decor and gorgeous views. Compliments extend to the thoughtful room layouts and amenities, such as the kitchenettes and terraces, although some note minor issues with soundproofing and bathroom space.
Dining at the hotel is a highlight with the restaurant receiving consistent accolades for its high-quality food, friendly service and the value-packed three-course meal. The breakfast buffet also garners largely positive feedback for its variety, quality and homemade options, though some guests feel it could be overpriced or lacking in fresh choices at later times. Dinner, however, is particularly praised for its delicious dishes and accommodating dietary options, all served with the backdrop of the stunning castle view.
The hotel's spa facilities are another standout feature, offering a comprehensive wellness area that includes a hammam, sauna and jacuzzi, all highly praised for the tranquility and relaxation they provide. While access comes at an additional cost, it's deemed a valuable investment worth the serene experience it offers. The pool area, too, is admired for its cleanliness, heated options and spectacular views, although it could benefit from additional sunbeds and slight maintenance improvements.
Families find the hotel especially welcoming with well-designed rooms that cater to both adults and children and gourmet-quality children's menus that impress even the pickiest eaters. However, some reviews mention the transfer of noises between neighboring rooms.
Finally, the hotel staff is frequently highlighted for their exceptional professionalism and friendliness, enhancing the overall guest experience considerably. The parking facilities, though occasionally limited in the evenings, add to the convenience and ease of stay.
Overall, Les Terrasses de Saumur - Hôtel & Appartements - Restaurant & Spa (Logis) emerges as a top-notch retreat that combines relaxation and adventure in a beautiful setting, making it a highly recommended choice for visitors to Saumur.
