The Kilbirnie Hotel boasts excellent leisure facilities, including an indoor and outdoor pool, sauna and gym. Guests have praised the lovely swimming pool with many enjoying a relaxing swim solo or with family. However, some reviews have noted that the pool facilities are in need of maintenance and updates. For less-able guests, the pool is not the most accessible, but the hotel staff have been accommodating in providing alternative access. The beachfront location of the hotel provides stunning sea views, while the outdoor pool is a great bonus during a heatwave. The hotel has been commended for its clean and inviting pool, while the disused swimming pool has received criticism for its neglected appearance and unfortunate smell. Overall, guests have enjoyed the pool and sauna facilities, but some have been disappointed to find that these were out of operation.

Porth Veor Manor Villas & Apartments boasts a heated pool that guests absolutely adore. Travelers repeatedly mention the "lovely warm pool" and how "the heated pool was a great asset". Families appreciate that "the children were able to take advantage of the pool" at any time since it is "just outside the door". The pool area is "beautiful" and the added bonus of a terrace makes for a nice lounging spot. Although some guest reviews report that the pool can be "limited" and "closed too early", overall the heated pool is a hit with guests who describe it as "warm and clean" and "amazing". Some reviewers suggest that the booking system could be clearer so guests are aware of how to secure a time slot. While issues with the pool being "dirty" or "disappointing" were reported, they were rare and did not hold back guests from expressing their overall satisfaction with the pool.

The Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western Porth Veor Manor Hotel boasts a fab pool area with both an outdoor heated pool and a heated swimming pool. However, some guests noted that the pool was too hot and broken tiles in the swimming pool were a concern. Additionally, there were reports of a shortage of sunbeds, as villa guests often took them all. The hotel staff also had to close down the pool due to unsupervised kids dominating the area and causing damage. Despite this, many guests still enjoyed the pool with some saying it was lovely. However, there were also complaints from some hotel guests that the pool was often occupied by those staying in nearby apartments who believed it was part of their package. One review even stated that the piscina was sucia or dirty.
