Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hôtel Sampiero, located in Bastia, is favored by guests for its strategic placement near the port, making it highly convenient for travelers arriving by ferry or departing early in the morning. Its proximity to essential amenities like restaurants, supermarkets, shops and the train station adds to its convenience. The 24-hour reception is particularly appreciated by late-arriving guests. However, the hotel's location on a busy road in an industrial area and its distance from the city center are noted drawbacks.
Guests have varied opinions about the breakfast at Hôtel Sampiero. Many find it sufficient, pleasant and appropriately hearty, though others feel it lacks variety and is somewhat basic, particularly for its €8 price.
The rooms receive mixed feedback. Many guests find them spacious, air-conditioned and adequately equipped with comfortable bedding. However, there are numerous complaints about outdated furniture, cleanliness issues and cramped, outdated bathrooms. Noise from the street and neighboring rooms is also a common concern.
Cleanliness at Hôtel Sampiero is generally praised with many guests highlighting the neat and tidy rooms, clean bathrooms and comfortable bedding. Despite this, some guests have reported issues with hair in towels, stained pillows and mold in bathrooms.
The staff at Hôtel Sampiero are consistently praised for their warmth, friendliness and professional demeanor, contributing significantly to a pleasant stay experience for guests.
Regarding Wi-Fi connectivity, the hotel presents a mixed picture. While some guests find it satisfactory, many report slow speeds, poor signal quality and intermittent connectivity issues.
The hotel's parking facilities receive consistent praise for being ample, secure and easily accessible, providing peace of mind for guests traveling by car.
Comfortable bedding is a notable highlight, ensuring a restful night's sleep, although there are a few mentions of discomfort from some guests.
Lastly, while Hôtel Sampiero offers good value for money and meets basic expectations for a 3-star hotel, it falls short in some areas, such as outdated facilities and sound insulation. This might make some guests feel it aligns more with a 2-star rating.
Overall, Hôtel Sampiero is well-suited for budget-conscious travelers seeking a convenient stopover with friendly service, despite some limitations in amenities and room quality.
