Wild Monkey Hostel emerges as an attractive destination for travelers visiting Cuenca, largely due to its strategic location. Positioned near the historic center, guests enjoy easy access to notable landmarks and vibrant nightlife, making it an excellent base for exploring local culture and activities. The hostel is appreciated not only for its geographic convenience but also for offering great value for money, with affordable services like laundry contributing to its appeal. Visitors frequently commend the friendly staff, whose warmth and attentiveness enhance the overall experience.
The breakfast at Wild Monkey Hostel is lauded for its deliciousness and affordability, with a variety of options that cater to different dietary needs, including gluten-free choices. The meals, provided at a nominal cost, are well-received and contribute significantly to the positive perception of the hostel.
In terms of accommodation, the hostel offers spacious rooms with comfortable beds, though some guests have pointed out areas for improvement in stability and cleanliness. The hostel’s vibrant location promises a balance between tranquility during the day and lively nightlife, though some noise from the surrounding area can be a concern. While guests appreciate the creative design of the loft beds, the practical use of space sometimes requires careful navigation.
Cleanliness, however, receives mixed reviews. While the rooms and dormitories generally meet expectations, communal areas like the kitchen and bathrooms are noted for needing more consistent maintenance and cleaning. Updating these spaces could enhance guest satisfaction further.
