Casa Lazaroiu offers a delightful experience for guests seeking a serene and picturesque setting in the Romanian countryside. Nestled at the base of the iconic Transfagarasan road, the location enchants visitors with stunning views, a thoughtfully arranged garden, and expansive grounds featuring playgrounds and a picturesque lake, ideal for leisurely activities and relaxation. The charming oasis-like environment ensures tranquility while providing accessibility to key tourist attractions, making it an excellent choice for family vacations.
Guests consistently praise the rich and varied breakfast, featuring homemade products and traditional dishes. The abundant options cater to diverse tastes, elevating the dining experience with delights such as homemade zacusca, eggplant salad, and cherry jam. Similarly, the dinner offerings receive favor for their delicious, varied menu, highlighted by fresh fish dishes sourced from the on-site lake.
Rooms at Casa Lazaroiu are generally spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing breathtaking views from balconies that accentuate the natural beauty surrounding the property. Although some areas like air conditioning and bathroom design could use improvement, the agreeable accommodations contribute to a pleasant stay. Furthermore, cleanliness is noted positively, with the staff's commendable efforts in maintaining a tidy environment, despite occasional concerns in certain facilities.
The staff's hospitality shines through with friendly, attentive service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and accommodated throughout their stay. The reception, praised for its warmth, reflects the dedication of the team in fostering a tranquil and supportive atmosphere. Additionally, the amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, add value to the experience. Although some maintenance issues, particularly with pool temperatures and cleanliness, arise, the combined offering of leisure facilities remains appealing.
Parking options are well-received, with safe and accessible spaces contributing positively to the overall guest experience. However, Wi-Fi service could benefit from enhancements, as connectivity issues detract from the otherwise pleasing stay. Finally, while the large and comfortable beds provide restful sleep, attention to details like pillow comfort could further enhance guest satisfaction.
