Although there were some minor setbacks such as the lack of a bar to relax in before a meal, overall, the historical elements of the hotel far surpassed those of other hotels in Edinburgh. The experience of staying at The Witchery was described as out of this world with a theatrical and unusual setting that was unforgettable. Despite some minor service issues like a long wait for dinner and screwed in shower amenities, guests left feeling dazed by the stunning interior and hope to return to try a different room. The suite in the heart of Edinburgh was deemed a unique and historical experience not to be missed.

The friendly and welcoming nature of the staff is particularly noteworthy with many guests commenting on how nothing was too much trouble for them. Alongside being incredible attentive and professional, the staff are proud of their hotel and their passion for their jobs shone through in each interaction. One member of staff in particular, Blare, stood out as an amazing waiter who left a lasting impression on guests. However, a small number of negative reviews mentioned unprofessional staff and issues with bookings, but these were few and far between compared to the overwhelmingly positive feedback. Overall, the staff at The Witchery are exceptional and provide excellent service to guests.
