The InterContinental Real Guatemala by IHG, has a pool that guests have enjoyed during their stay. The outdoor pool is heated, which is perfect for slightly chilly weather. Some guests have described the pool as large and a great escape. However, some negative feedback mentions the lack of attention and slow service from the pool staff. The smaller pool seemed dirty and some suggest that the area should have a nearby place that serves food, as the service was slow and sometimes non-existent. Additionally, some guests have complained about the absence of music or a bar service around the pool. Overall, while the pool area could use improvement, guests still enjoy their time in the pool during their stay.

Clarion Suites Guatemala City stands out as a preferred choice for visitors to Guatemala City, especially for its superb location in Zone 10. This vibrant and secure area offers easy access to a range of restaurants, bars, shopping centers, banks and nightlife spots. Its proximity to the city center and the airport makes it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Guests continually praise the spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, which often include separate living areas, providing a suite-like experience. Modern and well-equipped, the rooms contribute significantly to the overall positive lodging experience.
The staff at Hotel Clarion Suites are frequently noted for their attentiveness and friendliness, adding to guests' satisfaction. From the front desk to the cleaning staff, service is commended for being professional and welcoming. This high level of service extends to the breakfast experience, where guests enjoy a substantial, tasty and varied breakfast in a beautifully set dining area, noted especially for its waterfall and jungle atmosphere.
Dining at the hotel is generally well-regarded with the restaurant setting praised for its relaxing ambiance and high-quality food. While the menu may be limited and on the pricier side, most guests find the dining experience to be positive. However, there are a few minor complaints about the variety and availability of vegetarian options as well as the service speed.
The hotel's attention to cleanliness is evident throughout the property. Guests appreciate the immaculate rooms and common areas, which contribute to a comfortable and elegant stay. Minor concerns about dated decor or maintenance issues do not overshadow the positive reviews.
However, not all is perfect. The hotel's WiFi service receives mixed feedback with some guests enjoying seamless connectivity and others experiencing reliability issues. Parking also presents challenges due to its narrow and cramped spaces, though the availability of free parking is a noted benefit.
Families find the hotel accommodating thanks to the spacious suites that offer ample room for children. Although breakfast incurs an additional cost and the lack of handheld showers in bathrooms is noted, the overall experience remains positive for family stays.
Guests interested in nightlife will find the hotel's location advantageous with numerous clubs and bars nearby. However, this comes with the downside of noise from surrounding nightlife venues. Despite this, the superb comfort and cleanliness of the hotel's beds help ensure a restful stay.
Overall, Clarion Suites Guatemala City delivers a high-quality experience with its outstanding location, spacious and clean accommodations and friendly staff. While areas like WiFi and parking could see improvements, the hotel's value for money, beautiful setting and exceptional service make it a top choice for visitors seeking comfort and convenience in Guatemala City.
