Breakfast

When it comes to breakfast at Carlit, guests have mixed feelings. Many reviewers praise the breakfast for its superior quality, describing it as hearty, refined, and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. The buffet is often mentioned as being well-stocked and satisfying. The breakfast room itself adds to the experience, offering a charming ambiance that complements a mountain retreat feel. Guests also appreciate the access to additional amenities like the spa and a warm welcome accompanying their breakfast experience. However, an overwhelming concern shared by many is the pricing. At 18 euros per person, several guests lament that the breakfast is overpriced, citing the price as excessive and not proportional to the quality or variety offered by the buffet. Despite these reservations about cost, the overall breakfast experience, with its generous portions and pleasant setting, remains a highlight for many.

Dinner

The dining experience at Carlit's restaurant receives generally positive feedback, with guests appreciating its high-quality offerings and convenient location next door to the hotel. Many reviewers highlight the restaurant's very good cuisine and commend the attentive service provided. Diners particularly enjoyed the great atmosphere, noting the standout fondue as a highlight. The flexibility of the kitchen, which does not close early, adds to the overall appeal. However, there's room for improvement as not all experiences were flawless; one guest mentioned a cold tartiflette, and another described a less favorable dinner experience. Despite these few criticisms, the overall sentiment leans towards a satisfactory and enjoyable dining experience.

Guests frequently commend the rooms for their impressive size and cleanliness, often surprising visitors with more space than anticipated. Many reviewers highlight the functionality and provision of amenities, ensuring a comfortable experience during their stay. With a variety of room configurations, including those accommodating four individuals, the establishment caters to diverse needs. However, the aesthetic of the rooms garners mixed feedback. While some guests appreciate the arrangement and charm, others point out the dated decor and need for updates. The accommodations at 'Carlit' receive a blend of feedback regarding the beds, with notable emphasis on their size and comfort for some visitors. Certain guests appreciate the very large and comfortable beds, highlighting impeccable bedding and large, inviting sleeping arrangements. However, more critical reviews point out inconsistencies in the quality of the mattresses, with some describing them as poor or not the best. Issues are raised about individual mattresses being narrower than their box springs, and an additional bed being just a folding one in subpar condition. Despite these mixed opinions, some guests still find the bed fantastic and the overall bedding to be good.

Despite the dated décor and occasional reports of dust in less frequented areas, the hotel appears to deliver an acceptable standard of cleanliness throughout its facilities. However, there are occasional remarks suggesting room for improvement, particularly in specific areas such as the dining venue and thoroughness of room cleaning. Overall, the consistent emphasis on cleanliness suggests it is a priority for the hotel, though a refreshing of the décor might enhance the overall experience.
