The 27 Cafe Zanzibar Airport Hotel is highly regarded for its exceptional convenience, particularly for travelers needing easy access to Zanzibar Airport. Located just minutes away from the terminal, it offers an ideal spot for both early flights and late arrivals. The hotel features super clean and comfortable rooms with essential amenities like mini fridges, air conditioning and clean bedding, ensuring a restful and pleasant stay. Despite a few mentions of outdated decor and occasional noise, the majority of guests appreciate the spaciousness and tidiness of the rooms.
Guests consistently praise the dining experiences at the hotel with the on-site restaurant and bar operating 24 hours and serving a variety of delicious meals. The breakfast is described as excellent, offering a hearty and varied selection, including fresh omelets and superb coffee. The option of take-away breakfast boxes for early departures adds to the convenience. The restaurant also receives accolades for its pizzas, pastas, hamburgers and Italian ice cream. Room service is available, making it easy to enjoy meals at any hour, even late at night or early in the morning.
Cleanliness is a standout feature of the hotel with both the rooms and common areas being well-maintained. Guests often highlight the friendly and attentive staff who enhance the overall hospitable atmosphere. The hotel's owner is also commended for their involvement and personal attention to guests, contributing to a welcoming environment.
The wifi at the hotel is considered reliable and generally strong, although there are occasional mentions of connectivity issues. Families find the hotel well-suited for short stopovers, appreciating the spacious family rooms and the flexibility of the 24-hour restaurant. However, some noise from the restaurant and the serving of alcoholic beverages may be a drawback for those seeking a quieter environment.
For business travelers, the hotel's strategic location, efficient airport transfers and availability of good food at any hour make it a highly recommended option. While there may be minor communication challenges due to language barriers, the overall experience remains positive.
