La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Antonio I-35 N at Toepperwein features a pool area that presents a mixed experience for guests. On a positive note, some reviewers mentioned enjoying the pool, appreciating its design and utilizing it for family fun. A few guests found the pool to be nice upon arrival and there were mentions of it being cleaned at times. However, numerous reviews pointed out significant issues such as the pool being dirty, clouded with debris and even having film on the surface. Instances of improper chemical adjustments and a lack of necessary maintenance were also highlighted. Guests often found the pool crowded with individuals engaging in alcohol consumption and smoking, which sometimes included weed, making it inappropriate for kids. Issues with accessibility were common with reports of the gate being zip-tied shut and the pool being regularly closed or under renovation without prior notice. The pool area itself was said to be small, sometimes overcrowded and in need of better upkeep. There were also concerns about the safety and cleanliness standards, making the swimming experience less enjoyable for families and individuals alike.
