Guesthouse No. 48 stands out as a well-located and affordable option for travelers looking to explore Malta with ease. Its central location offers excellent connectivity to key destinations such as Valletta and Sliema, with easy access to public transportation. The area around the guesthouse is peaceful yet conveniently close to local amenities like cafes and shops, and its proximity to the airport is an added advantage for seamless travel.
Guests frequently praise the spacious and comfortable rooms, emphasizing modern fixtures and cleanliness. The accommodation includes useful amenities like refrigerators and water dispensers, enhancing the overall convenience of the stay. However, some feedback does mention issues such as mold, strange smells, and noise due to thin walls, particularly in rooms on lower floors. Despite these drawbacks, the cleanliness of both rooms and common areas often meets expectations, contributing to a pleasant environment.
The guesthouse's staff consistently receives high praise for their attentiveness, professionalism, and responsiveness. Clear communication and friendly service from individuals such as the owner, Sue, and staff member Paul enhance the overall experience. These positive interactions leave guests feeling welcome and appreciated throughout their stay.
While the beds are generally comfortable and contribute positively to guests' experiences, a few concerns exist, such as beds made from two singles and occasional maintenance issues. Nonetheless, the comfort level is generally satisfactory for many guests.
Overall, Guesthouse No. 48 offers an attractive value for money, particularly appealing to budget-conscious travelers and students. Despite some areas in need of improvement, such as room maintenance and consistency in cleaning services, the guesthouse provides a favorable experience that aligns well with its pricing, making it a solid choice for those visiting Malta.
