Azoris Faial Garden – Resort Hotel stands out as a highly recommended destination for those seeking a blend of convenience and serenity, nestled in the heart of Horta on Faial Island. Its prime location offers guests easy access to local attractions, including the marina, beach, and vibrant city life, all while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is praised for its panoramic views of Mount Pico and the marina, especially from the restaurant and pool area, enhancing the overall guest experience.
The hotel's breakfast offerings are largely praised for their variety and quality, often exceeding expectations with a diverse selection that includes vegan options. The picturesque views during breakfast add to the delightful start to the day. Although the dinner experience is more mixed, with the à la carte menu receiving more praise than the buffet, many guests find the overall dining experience satisfying, especially the service and poolside meals.
Accommodation-wise, the rooms are described as spacious and clean, with fantastic views of the harbor and Pico Island. While some guests note the décor and facilities are dated, the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms mitigate these concerns. The staff receive consistent commendations for their professionalism and warmth, contributing to a positive atmosphere throughout the hotel.
The resort's amenities feature both indoor and outdoor pools, which guests appreciate for their cleanliness and beautiful surroundings, including lush gardens. The spa facilities, while praised for their pleasant atmosphere and skilled therapists, would benefit from some updates. Similarly, the gym offers great views but requires renovation to meet modern standards.
The hotel provides abundant free parking, facilitating easy access to Horta's attractions. Families are particularly well-catered for, with thoughtful touches such as child-sized bathrobes and spacious accommodations, ensuring a comfortable and engaging experience for all.
Overall, Azoris Faial Garden – Resort Hotel delivers a satisfying and memorable stay, with its stunning views, welcoming staff, and wide-ranging facilities, making it a notable choice for travelers exploring Faial Island.
