Families with children have enjoyed using the pool facilities in the morning, but have had to purchase caps and slippers separately, which they felt should have been provided in the room like in most spa hotels. Some guests have had disappointing experiences with the pool availability, leading to them being directed to use the facilities in the spa. Unfortunately, they felt watched and uncomfortable during this experience.

Overall, while the Royal Marine Hotel has a good swimming pool, improvements should be made to its maintenance, availability and facilities.
