The Hampton Inn & Suites Jekyll Island has an unbeatable location on the southern, less crowded side of the island with direct access to the beach through a lovely boardwalk. Guests love the proximity to the oceanfront and the convenience of walking to the beach in minutes. The hotel is also conveniently located near various sights, shopping and restaurants. Some guests appreciated the secluded atmosphere away from the busier business area, while others loved the sensitivity to Georgia's efforts to protect its dunes and marshlands. The location was described as amazing by many with some even calling it perfect. Dogs are also welcome and have easy access to paved trails through a convenient cut-through between the parking lot and South Dunes Picnic area. Despite a few guests commenting on a longer walk to the beach than expected or not being able to see the beach from their room, the overwhelming consensus is that the location is exceptional and sets the perfect tone for a relaxing getaway on this lovely island.
