Days Inn by Wyndham Florida City receives considerable praise for its advantageous location, making it a prime spot for travelers. Situated conveniently close to the Everglades National Park and Key Largo, the hotel serves as an excellent base for exploring these renowned destinations. Guests appreciate the easy access to highways and the proximity to various essential amenities, including restaurants, shops and a nearby Starbucks. The hotel’s quiet surroundings, despite its central location, offer a peaceful stay, complemented by commendable service from the staff, particularly individuals like Rene, who have been noted for their helpfulness.
However, while the location is widely celebrated, other aspects of the hotel receive mixed reviews. The breakfast offerings, for instance, are a significant point of dissatisfaction among guests. Many have reported the breakfast as minimal, often just granola bars, yogurt, coffee and juice with occasional expired items. The absence of hot breakfast options, despite advertisements, left many guests feeling let down.
Room conditions also highlight a stark contrast in experiences. While some guests mentioned clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds, a substantial number of reviews pointed out severe cleanliness issues. Complaints of dirty floors, stained sheets, unpleasant odors and uncleaned bathrooms were common. Hygiene concerns extended to reports of bedbugs and neglected maintenance with the need for significant improvements in room upkeep stressed by many.
Similarly, the hotel's overall cleanliness fails to meet expectations for numerous guests. Reports of filth in rooms and public areas, including unclean bathrooms and outdoor spaces, contribute to an unpleasant experience. Dirty sheets, unclean floors, garbage accumulation and outdated facilities further diminish the appeal of staying at the property.
Staff interactions generally leave a positive impression with many guests praising the team’s friendliness and helpful demeanor. Specific staff members like Britney and a notable front desk lady receive commendations for their exemplary service. Nonetheless, some reviews highlight occasional negative experiences with particular employees, pointing to a need for more consistent service quality.
The pool area elicits varied feedback as well. While some guests find the pool relaxing and enjoyable, citing cleanliness and a pleasant atmosphere, others raise concerns about debris, overcrowding and hygiene problems. Unattended children and non-hotel guests often crowding the pool area reduce the enjoyment for others. Moreover, the unheated pool may be a drawback for some visitors.
Beds at the hotel also present mixed reviews. Many guests praise the beds for being comfortable, citing good sleep quality, while others criticize the condition of the mattresses, pillows and cleanliness. Issues like broken beds and reports of bed bugs have marred the experience for several guests, indicating an inconsistency in bed comfort and conditions.
In summary, Days Inn by Wyndham Florida City shines with its strategic location and accessible amenities, appealing significantly to travelers. Yet, a substantial gap exists in meeting guest expectations regarding breakfast, room cleanliness and general maintenance, making it a mixed experience overall for visitors. Improvements in these areas could potentially enhance the overall guest satisfaction considerably.
