Sova garners praise for its strategic location, providing easy access to supermarkets, shops, cafes and excellent public transportation, including a nearby tram station. This makes it particularly appealing for budget-conscious travelers, offering good value accommodation for both short and long stays. Although some find the distance to the city center and beaches a bit far, many consider it manageable due to the convenient public transport and parking availability.
The hotel receives positive feedback for its dining options with the restaurant and café frequently highlighted for their delicious, affordable food. Guests appreciate the convenience of having these amenities on-site.
Rooms at Sova offer a mixed experience. Positive reviews highlight their cleanliness, comfort and the convenience of amenities like air conditioning and mini-fridges. The 24-hour check-in and proximity to parking are additional benefits. However, some guests have noted issues with the lack of windows, noise, temperature control and maintenance, affecting the overall perception of room quality.
Cleanliness is another area with varied reviews. On the positive side, some guests found the rooms clean with neatly ironed bedding and fresh smells throughout the hotel. However, significant issues such as dirty walls, mold, cockroaches and delayed or insufficient cleaning services have also been reported, suggesting an inconsistency in maintaining cleanliness standards.
Staff at Sova generally receive favorable remarks for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing positively to the guest experience. Specific mentions of attentive reception staff highlight the effort made to accommodate guests' needs. Nonetheless, there are occasional lapses in service with some reports of disorganized communication and less satisfactory interactions.
The free Wi-Fi at Sova presents a mixed experience with some guests praising its stability and speed, while others encounter issues like weak signals and frequent disconnections.
Parking options at Sova are appreciated for their convenience, offering both free and paid choices. The small size of the parking lot might pose a challenge at times, but its proximity to the hotel adds a level of ease for drivers.
Family-friendly features make Sova a suitable option for those traveling with kids, although some rooms lack windows, they still provide a comfortable stay.
Opinions on the beds are mixed with some guests noting the comfort and good condition of the mattresses, while others cite issues with saggy, squeaky beds and cleanliness concerns.
In summary, Sova is valued for its location, affordable dining and mostly courteous staff, making it an attractive option for budget travelers and families. However, potential guests should consider the noted inconsistencies in room quality, cleanliness and Wi-Fi reliability.
