If you're looking for a dog-friendly vacation spot, look no further than Alpenpension Bergidyll in Schönau am Königssee. This hotel is perfect for families with fur babies - they're very accommodating and even allow dogs in their breakfast room! The hosts are incredibly nice and you'll feel like nothing is missing during your stay. Plus, if you have other furry friends like cats, they won't mind if you bring them along too. Even big dogs are welcome here! The staff is great and you'll love being greeted by their resident dog, Cleo. While the rooms may be a bit small for a family and a dog, they're always clean and very charming. Hotel Königsseer Hof is highly recommended by guests for its excellent location with stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The hotel's central location provides easy access to many activities, including boating to Obersee, hiking trails, the lake and the ferry. The free on-site parking and convenient bus stop are also appreciated by guests. The breakfast buffet is described as a blast, awesome, very good, satisfying and great with options for both sweet and savory items. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped for warmth and coziness with balconies that offer breathtaking mountain views. The cleanliness of the rooms is impeccable, although some guests have complained about the outdated and worn furnishings and bathrooms. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, although some guests have noted that the front desk is often empty and some staff members are unfriendly or don't speak German well. The hotel's parking accommodations are a big plus for guests, although there may not be anyone available to help you park your car and some guests reported that there is no elevator on-site. The bed situation seems to be a mixed bag with some guests experiencing discomfort from the worn and old mattresses, while others found them to be extremely comfortable. Overall, Hotel Königsseer Hof seems to be a reliable option for travelers seeking a clean and cozy place to stay with a lovely location and tasty breakfast.
