If you're looking for a 4-star hotel, Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre Lumière might not be your first choice. Some guests found the rating questionable and stated that the hotel was more of a 3-star establishment. However, others found the hotel to be a great value for money, both comfortable and bright. While some felt that the hotel didn't live up to the standard of a Mercure branded hotel, others found that it exuded a classic style, class and constant comfort associated with ACCOR. Some guests were disappointed by the bathroom and toilet facilities, which they felt didn't meet the standard of a 4-star hotel. Despite the mixed reviews, some guests were pleasantly surprised by the hotel and enjoyed their stay.

Lagrange Aparthotel Lyon Lumière positions itself as a 4-star accommodation, but many guest reviews suggest this rating may be overstated. The property is noted for its clean and well-situated premises, offering well-equipped rooms with kitchenettes that overlook a tranquil garden, ideal for a pleasant stay. Guests appreciated certain aspects, such as the quality-price ratio, which is commendable, though not extravagant for its alleged star rating. The staff receives praise for their responsiveness and dedication, ensuring a comfortable environment by addressing any issues promptly.
However, several reviews highlight a disparity between expectations and reality, citing that the hotel aligns more with a 3-star experience. Concerns about outdated facilities, non-functioning air conditioning, and insufficient amenities for a 4-star designation are common. The breakfast offering and the added charges for parking and spa access further left some guests feeling the hotel does not live up to its four-star billing. Despite this, the establishment remains a viable option for guests seeking a convenient and self-sufficient stay in Lyon.
