The The Plaza Hotel Columbus at Capitol Square is a highly recommended hotel for visitors to Columbus who want to explore the city's downtown area. The hotel's location next to the statehouse and within walking distance of multiple restaurants, bars and theaters, including the Ohio Theatre, is a standout feature for many guests. The hotel rooms are comfortable and spacious with great views, large TVs and nice furniture, although some guests have reported issues with air conditioning, heat and outdated decor. However, the hotel staff have received high marks for their expeditious service and guest relations. The hotel is also noted for its excellent cleanliness and well-maintained facilities. The staff is dedicated, friendly and accommodating with guests appreciating their service. The beds are extremely comfortable with clean linens and the hotel provides a great stay experience for those visiting Downtown Columbus. The hotel offers a range of excellent amenities for business travelers, although the business lounge could use some improvement. The parking garage is connected to the hotel and located beside the Ohio theatre, although some guests have had confusing experiences with parking at the hotel.
