The Sandman Hotel Revelstoke, situated in the scenic town of Revelstoke, is highly praised for its strategic and convenient location. Adjacent to Highway 1 and nearby downtown Revelstoke, the hotel serves as an excellent stopover between Calgary and Vancouver. Guests appreciate the picturesque setting by a beautiful river and bridge and the ease of access to Tesla chargers and gas stations. The attached Denny's restaurant and ample parking further enhance the hotel’s convenience.
When it comes to the rooms, many guests find them clean, spacious and comfortable, often commending the updated areas featuring modern amenities such as mini kitchens, refrigerators, microwaves and coffee machines. This, along with comfortable beds and effective air conditioning, generally ensures a pleasant stay, though there are mentions of occasional cleanliness and maintenance issues that could use improvement.
Despite a mixed reception regarding the hotel’s breakfast options with some guests desiring a more varied selection, the nearby dining alternatives like Tim Hortons and McDonald's, along with the on-site Denny's, offer satisfactory solutions. The friendly and professional staff consistently receive high praise for their exceptional and welcoming service, often going above and beyond to accommodate guests and address their concerns promptly.
The pool facilities, while appreciated for their maintenance and comfort when operational, have faced issues with unexpected closures that have disappointed some guests. However, this does not significantly overshadow the positive experiences noted by many.
Overall, the Sandman Hotel Revelstoke provides a solid combination of accessibility, comfort and picturesque surroundings with high marks awarded to its outstanding staff and comfortable beds. While there are areas that could benefit from improvement, guests largely leave with positive impressions, making it a favorable choice for both leisure and business travelers.
