Hotel Bô Rivage is highly praised for its picturesque location in the Ardennes by Lake Neufchâteau, offering serene and breathtaking views that attract nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The hotel's setting is conducive to relaxation and supports various outdoor activities such as hiking and water sports. Its convenient proximity to the city center and major roads adds to its appeal, making it easily accessible for leisure and business travelers alike. Families especially appreciate the spacious family rooms and the pet-friendly policy, further enhancing the welcoming atmosphere, while ample on-site amenities like a quality restaurant and ample parking add to the overall convenience.
The breakfast at the hotel receives largely positive feedback for its variety, quality and the delightful experience of dining on the terrace with lake views. Guests enjoy the buffet-style offerings, which include a hearty selection of continental items. However, some noted that the breakfast area could feel cramped and occasionally crowded and suggested that a wider variety of selection could improve the experience.
The hotel's restaurant garners mixed reviews with praise for its beautiful setting, delightful cuisine and excellent selection of craft beers. However, high prices and inconsistent food quality, alongside slow service and poor organization, have been repeatedly mentioned. It operates independently from the hotel and has limited hours, which can be inconvenient for guests. Despite these challenges, some diners recount pleasant dining experiences with high-quality meals.
Rooms at Hotel Bô Rivage are known for being spacious, clean and comfortable, equipped with modern amenities. Rooms with lake or nature views are particularly admired. Complaints are minimal but include poor soundproofing, insufficient ventilation and occasional maintenance issues. Overall, the modern decoration and functional amenities provide a comfortable stay.
Regarding cleanliness, the hotel generally maintains high standards with many guests praising the tidiness of the rooms and communal areas. However, sporadic instances of missed housekeeping and specific cleanliness issues like dirty windows and cobwebs were noted.
The staff at the hotel receive high marks for their friendliness, helpfulness and multilingual proficiency. The professional and accommodating nature of the reception staff significantly enhances the guest experience. A few less positive mentions concern the restaurant staff's demeanor and occasional lapses in professionalism.
Free wifi is provided with mixed reviews based on its reliability. While some guests report a strong signal in common areas, many find the connection weak or non-existent in guest rooms. Enhancements to the wifi infrastructure would improve overall satisfaction.
Parking at the hotel is ample and convenient with many free spaces available. Guests appreciate the easy access and the addition of electric vehicle charging stations, although some equipment maintenance and additional charging points could be required to meet growing demand.
For families, the hotel is particularly inviting with spacious rooms, thoughtful design features and amenities like a playground. This friendliness extends to practicalities, such as rooms that cater well to families with children and the location offers excellent opportunities for outdoor family activities.
With a strong emphasis on guest comfort, particularly with their beds, Hotel Bô Rivage makes a commendable effort to ensure a restful and pleasant stay for all its guests.
