Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Gables Hotel, Birmingham Airport, offers a convenient location for travelers, especially those attending events at the NEC or flying out of Birmingham Airport. Its proximity to local attractions and transport hubs, coupled with amenities like a 24/7 Spar nearby, makes it an attractive option for short stays. The staff receive high praise for their friendliness and attentive service, contributing positively to guests' experiences.
Rooms, although small, are generally clean and comfortable, with cleanliness being a strong attribute noted by many guests. Public areas also maintain an acceptable standard of cleanliness, further enhancing the environment. However, the hotel shows signs of wear, with dated decor and fixtures that could benefit from refurbishment. Temperature control and bathroom conditions appear to be areas of concern, indicating a need for updates to improve guest satisfaction.
The beds receive mixed reviews, with some guests finding them comfortable, whilst others experience issues such as overly soft mattresses, broken slats, and occasional bed bugs. Quality of bedding and pillows is another point of concern, suggesting room for improvement in this aspect.
Overall, while The Gables Hotel offers a clean and convenient option for short stays near Birmingham Airport, there is room for enhancing guest comfort through updates to facilities and amenities, particularly the rooms and beds. The staff remain a key highlight, providing exceptional service that significantly enriches the guest experience.
