Ocean Sports Resort is celebrated for its idyllic beachfront location, providing guests with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and a refreshing coastal breeze. Its central position in Watamu offers convenient access to the marine park and superb dive sites, appealing to water sports and diving enthusiasts. The lush gardens and picturesque surroundings create a tranquil oasis, enhancing the resort's appeal.
The breakfast at Ocean Sports Resort generally receives positive reviews, with guests praising the plentiful and varied buffet offerings, including fresh fruits, cereals, and Kenya coffee. While some guests suggest adding more variety, particularly pastries, the breakfast experience is well-received, with the Sunday buffet noted as a highlight. Dinner experiences also earn high marks for quality and atmosphere, with the seafood pizzas and fresh ingredients particularly appreciated, despite a desire for a more extensive menu selection.
Rooms at the resort offer a mixed experience. Guests commend the beautiful furnishings, spacious layouts, and lovely sea views from the villas. However, some rooms show signs of age, such as humidity and musty smells, and could benefit from refurbishment. While cleanliness is generally excellent, certain areas require maintenance attention. The absence of in-room WiFi and select amenities might be a downside for some, but the overall charm and ocean views enhance the resort's allure.
The resort impresses with its cleanliness and the exceptional service provided by the staff, who are frequently described as friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The management's professionalism ensures a seamless guest experience. Although some areas, like the pool, need updates and renovations, the picturesque views and relaxing atmosphere make it a delightful spot for relaxation.
The beach location is both convenient and scenic, offering stunning ocean views and easy access to diving adventures. While there are occasional issues with rocks and debris on the beach, the overall setting remains visually captivating, adding to the resort's appeal. Ocean Sports Resort stands out as a clean and picturesque getaway, offering a generally satisfying experience, though some facilities could be modernized to fully meet visitor expectations.
