Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Aarlis Hotel Panchkula Chandigarh, Vignette Collection by IHG, provides a tranquil retreat with its serene location near a golf course, offering picturesque views and a pollution-free environment. Guests have praised its accessibility to local attractions despite its distance from shopping centers and main city facilities. The scenic and peaceful surroundings are a significant positive highlight for many visitors.
Breakfast at the hotel has received commendations for its variety and delicious offerings, particularly the bacon and eggs and a diverse spread of Continental, North Indian and South Indian items. However, the experience can be inconsistent with some guests noting limited variety, slow service and cleanliness issues in the breakfast area.
Dinner experiences vary with the buffet praised for its variety and some standout dishes like pineapple soufflé. Staff personalized service enhances the dining experience for some guests. Conversely, some have reported disappointment with the quality and freshness of the food, limited vegetarian options and the preference for buffet over á la carte dining. Additionally, issues like mosquitoes and repetitive menu options have also been pointed out.
Room experiences at the hotel are mixed. Positive feedback emphasizes spacious, comfortable rooms with some offering scenic views. Nonetheless, there are frequent reports of maintenance issues, such as dated decor, cleanliness problems and insufficient amenities. Housekeeping and room service often fall short, affecting the overall guest experience.
Cleanliness and maintenance are recurring areas of concern with multiple reviews noting outdated and unclean rooms, bathrooms and common areas. There are numerous mentions of poor housekeeping standards, unclean carpets and overall unsanitary conditions that greatly impact the guest experience.
Staff performance at the Holiday Inn Chandigarh Panchkula is variable. While many guests appreciate the helpful and courteous nature of the staff, others have encountered unresponsiveness, rudeness and delays in service. Training and staff responsiveness are identified as areas requiring significant improvement.
The WiFi service at the hotel is unreliable with several guests experiencing connectivity issues or complete lack of access. This, along with problems with the TV, wiring and intercom systems, highlights a need for improvement in in-room technology and amenities.
The spa and gym facilities receive mixed reviews, primarily due to maintenance and cleanliness issues. While the spa ambiance is appreciated, its functionality and hygiene need attention. The gym, though equipped with a dumbbell rack, is criticized for poor maintenance and lack of an attendant.
The pool area garners both positive and negative feedback. Guests who find it clean describe it as wonderful and beautiful. However, cleanliness and operational issues such as a closed pool or inconvenient operation hours are significant drawbacks.
For families, the hotel provides spacious accommodations and a children's play area, although issues like placement on different floors from children and disturbances from rowdy crowds are noted. The hotel's proximity to a golf course offers tranquil views and a peaceful environment, which is a considerable draw for many guests.
Beds are generally found to be comfortable with various sizes available. However, cleanliness and upkeep of bedding are concerns with reports of dirty or damp bedsheets and discomfort with extra beds and sofa-beds.
In conclusion, while Holiday Inn Chandigarh Panchkula offers serene surroundings and has some commendable features, significant improvements in maintenance, cleanliness, service consistency and in-room amenities are necessary to meet the expectations set by the IHG brand.
