The Hampton Inn Birmingham/Mountain Brook is widely praised for its excellent location, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional staff service, making it a top choice for visitors to Birmingham. Positioned near Legacy Arena and close to Downtown Birmingham, the hotel provides easy access to upscale shopping, dining, and attractions like the Summit shopping area and botanical gardens. Guests enjoy the hotel's proximity to Samford University and appreciate the charming walking paths in the neighboring areas of Mountain Brook and Homewood.
Breakfast at the Hampton Inn is a delightful experience, offering a variety of options, such as omelettes, waffles, and fruit, catering to both diverse dietary preferences and busy schedules with "to-go" breakfast bags. The friendly and attentive staff further enhance the breakfast experience, although minor constraints related to space and occasional item unavailability are noted.
The rooms, although on the smaller side, are lauded for their cleanliness and comfort, especially the soft and plush beds that provide a restful night's sleep. The clean, organized rooms and common areas contribute to a relaxing and quiet atmosphere. The staff is consistently commended for their friendliness and helpfulness, with notable praise for individuals like Tracie and Randy, who provide excellent service during breakfast and at the front desk.
While some guests mention occasional maintenance issues and the need for specific upgrades in certain areas, the overall impression of the hotel remains positive, with cleanliness and comfort as consistent highlights. The commitment of the staff to provide a welcoming and accommodating environment solidifies Hampton Inn Birmingham/Mountain Brook's reputation as a reliable and comfortable lodging choice in Birmingham.
