Baymont by Wyndham Columbus/Rickenbacker offers a conveniently strategic location, particularly beneficial for travelers requiring proximity to the airport. Nestled in an industrial park away from main roads, it provides a quiet and private environment, which appeals to families and business travelers. Easy access to highways and local events contributes to its positive reputation with cleanliness, comfort and reasonable pricing further enhancing its appeal for both short-term and extended stays.
The breakfast experience at the hotel is mixed. While the grab-and-go breakfast option featuring non-perishable items is convenient, many guests find it unsatisfactory. However, the availability of a hot breakfast on weekends and a nicely set-up breakfast room are appreciated by some.
When it comes to rooms, guests commonly note that they are clean, well-maintained, quiet and comfortable with efficient air conditioning and good TV channel selection. However, there are several signs of disrepair and cleanliness issues in certain rooms, alongside reports of malfunctioning amenities and unpleasant odors, indicating the need for better maintenance and odor management.
The cleanliness of the hotel overall falls short with persistent complaints about dirt, unpleasant odors and disrepair in various areas of the property. Despite some sporadic positive notes about areas being clean and fresh, the majority of reviews highlight the need for significant improvements in cleanliness standards.
Staff reviews are mixed with many guests praising the friendliness and professionalism of certain employees, particularly the owner or manager and appreciating the service provided by cleaning and maintenance staff. Nevertheless, criticism regarding the rudeness and lack of professional appearance of some front desk staff underscores a need for better customer service training.
The indoor pool is generally well-received, adding value to the stay, especially for families. Although there are some concerns about restricted hours and occasional maintenance and cleanliness issues, it is often noted as a nice feature of the hotel.
Bed quality, like other aspects of the hotel, receives mixed reviews. Some guests find the beds and pillows comfortable, while others point out issues with hardness, lumpiness and cleanliness.
Overall, Baymont by Wyndham Columbus/Rickenbacker is recognized for its convenient location and affordability, offering a satisfactory experience for many guests.
