The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it a safe and enjoyable environment for children to play in the pool. The hotel is family-oriented and has many activities for children to enjoy, including Halloween-themed events. However, some reviews describe a staff shortage and some guests were disappointed to find that their children were restricted from certain facilities. Despite this, the hotel's location is excellent with lots of things to do nearby. Unfortunately, the hotel can be quite expensive and some guests were not satisfied with the quality of the hotel's rooms. Additionally, be warned that the hotel does hold weddings and rowdy guests can disturb the peaceful atmosphere. Moreover, there are limited dining options beyond the tatty pub in the middle of nowhere. Nevertheless, visitors agreed that La Mon Hotel & Country Club makes a nice getaway for families looking for a good time.
