Carlton Park Hotel Rotherham is highly regarded by guests for its excellent location within a serene and quiet neighborhood. Offering convenient access to the town center, Sheffield city center and M1 Junction 33, it is perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel’s proximity to the hospital, its pleasant surroundings and ease of parking further enhance its appeal. Despite a less appealing exterior, the hotel's interior comfort and cleanliness impress many guests.
The rooms are consistently praised for their spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort. Guests particularly appreciate the clean bathrooms, comfortable beds and basic amenities that ensure a pleasant stay. Despite some minor maintenance issues, the rooms provide excellent value for money with a restful and quiet environment.
Cleanliness is a strong point with many guests noting the well-maintained nature of the property and the clean, updated bathrooms. Although undergoing some renovations, the hotel continues to offer a clean and comfortable setting supported by a friendly and helpful staff. The courteous and dedicated team, including notable mentions of staff members like Kartar Singh, Abu Bakkar and Farhad, enhance the overall guest experience with their exceptional service.
However, the breakfast experience has received mixed reviews. While the staff's friendliness and cleanliness are appreciated, the lack of variety in the continental breakfast and the absence of a cooked breakfast have disappointed some guests. The temporary nature of the breakfast service, being served from a reception counter, also detracts from the overall experience. Guests remain optimistic about future improvements to the dining options, especially with upcoming renovations that will reopen the restaurant and bar.
Guests also note the reliable and excellent wifi available throughout the property, enhancing their stay. The ample and free parking facilities are another significant advantage, contributing to a hassle-free experience.
Overall, Carlton Park Hotel Rotherham delivers a pleasant stay with its excellent location, clean and spacious rooms and outstanding staff service. Despite some ongoing renovations and occasional breakfast service limitations, the hotel offers good value for money and is a desirable choice for many travelers.

'OYO Flagship Sheffield City Centre' enjoys a prime location, just a few minutes' walk from Sheffield city centre, making it a highly convenient choice for visitors. Its proximity to local attractions, public transport hubs and eateries adds to its appeal, enhancing the overall experience for both tourists and business travelers. Parking is generally manageable with discounted rates at a nearby NCP car park, although clearer information could improve guest satisfaction.
The reviews for the breakfast highlight a varied spread that includes traditional English items, cereals, pastries and fresh fruits, appreciated by many for its range and value for money. However, some guests found issues with quality and service. Dinner options are non-existent within the hotel, as the restaurant only serves breakfast, which could be a drawback for those preferring to dine on-site. Nevertheless, the central location compensates for this with numerous nearby options.
Guests generally find the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable, making them a good value for money. Large bathrooms and ample tea and coffee facilities are added perks. However, the décor and furnishings are dated with some maintenance issues like worn carpets and non-functional heating being noted. Cleanliness is frequently praised, although there's room for improvement in common areas and certain specific aims like carpets and windows.
The staff at the hotel receive high praise for their friendliness and professionalism, significantly contributing to a pleasant stay. While there are occasional incidents of unhelpful service, the majority of reviews commend the team’s efficiency and warmth.
WiFi service shows mixed results; while some found it reliable and sufficient for their needs, others struggled with connectivity issues. The lack of clear instructions and inconsistent service notably hindered the experience for some guests.
The hotel is also appreciated for family stays thanks to its spacious rooms and friendly staff, although improvements could be made in provisions and layout for better suitability. The beds receive high marks for comfort and cleanliness, despite a few guests mentioning beds being made of two singles pushed together.
Overall, 'OYO Flagship Sheffield City Centre' offers a budget-friendly and functional stay with basic amenities, good service and a prime location. While it may benefit from some refurbishments and better maintenance, it generally meets fundamental needs, making it a practical choice for cost-conscious travelers.
