The spa at Scalaria Sunset Wing has received mixed feedback from guests, though there's a recurring emphasis on positive aspects. The wellness area is described as beautiful and convenient, particularly appreciated in bad weather. Guests have found the spa area to be spacious and the availability of generous spa and swimming towels adds to the experience.
The spa facilities include a sauna, which has been particularly noted for its niceness, along with a pool. However, some guests feel that the spa area is quite small and can seem uncomfortably cold in design, reminiscent of a swimming pool from the 70s. The indoor pool and the overall design of the spa wellness area have been less relaxing for some.
Attention to detail appears to be somewhat lacking, particularly in the sauna area and fitness room, which could use more care to enhance guest comfort. There are also complimentary touches like fruit and water in the wellness area, which have been positively noted.
While the wellness offering might not match the overall ambiance of the hotel for everyone and could be seen as a bit neglected or loveless, the generosity in amenities and overall convenience still make it a feature worth exploring, especially after receiving such pleasant upgrades as some guests have experienced.
