Summarized by AI
The pool at The Westin Long Beach offers a mixed experience for guests. Many appreciated the heated pool and enjoyed the rooftop pool and jacuzzi, especially the ambiance during evening swims. The poolside lounge area and bar were highlights, along with the clean pool environment and the pleasant addition of plants around the pool area. Guests consistently noted friendly staff, clean rooms and easy access to the pool and workout facilities, enhancing their overall stay.
However, some guests found the pool small and lacking sufficient seating. Others mentioned that the pool was often in shadow during the day and some encountered periods when the pool was closed for maintenance or repairs. Concerns were also raised about the pool area being in poor condition at times with specific mentions of cloudy and dirty water. Despite these issues, the location and service staff received praise, making other aspects of the stay enjoyable.

Summary of reviews related to the 'Pool' category
Summarized by AI
Nestled within the welcoming landscapes of the hotel, the pool area of Sonesta Select Los Angeles Torrance South Bay garners a mix of feedback focused on several key aspects. Many guests appreciate the pool's pleasant ambiance, often remarking that the pool is nice, great and wonderful. The pool stays open until 10 pm, allowing visitors to enjoy a nighttime swim under the stars, which many found appealing.
The cleanliness of the pool is frequently highlighted and the attentive staff ensures the area is maintained. However, some mention that the pool area could benefit from additional cleaning and updating. A few reviews pointed out that the pool is on the smaller side and unheated, which may not meet everyone's expectations, particularly those seeking a large or warm swimming environment.
Noise from other guests can sometimes disturb the otherwise serene setting. The fact that a grill is missing might be a minor inconvenience to those looking to enjoy an outdoor barbecue by the pool. Despite occasional closures, the general sentiment points to a well-kept pool area that provides a pleasant experience for guests.
