This positioning makes it ideal for those looking to explore the city or attend events while enjoying accessibility and pleasant surroundings.
The rooms at the hotel are generally described as clean and spacious, though many guests noted that they are outdated and in need of maintenance. While cleanliness is frequently praised, issues such as moldy smells, clogged drains and old furnishings detract from the overall experience. The hotel's cleanliness in public areas and guest rooms received mixed reviews with specific complaints about dirty carpets and bathtubs, as well as a persistent moldy odor.
Despite an absence of a hotel-provided breakfast, the on-site restaurant offers good breakfast options, though some travelers were disappointed to find breakfast was not included as they had expected. The hotel provides basic accommodations with room for improvement in amenities and guest experiences.
The staff receive mixed feedback as well. Many guests appreciated the friendly, kind and supportive service, highlighting positive interactions. However, negative experiences were also reported, including unprofessional behavior and issues with customer service.
Beds at the Spark by Hilton Clifton are often praised for their comfort, particularly the king-sized beds. Although some guests noted that the beds could use updating due to signs of age and some encountered stains, overall, the beds contribute positively to the hotel's reputation.
