202 Elizabeth seems to be a hotel that sparks varied opinions among its guests, particularly concerning its categorization as a five-star establishment. Many visitors express surprise and confusion, suggesting that the hotel aligns more with the characteristics of a three or four-star hotel. The most recurrent theme is the perceived mismatch between its advertised star rating and the actual experience, with several guests noting that it falls short of the typical five-star standards.
The service quality receives mixed reviews; while some guests describe the customer service as friendly and neat, others feel it fails to meet the expectations associated with a higher-end hotel. A lack of adequate facilities, such as enough dining tables for all guests, also seems to be a concern, despite there apparently being extra space available.
Room size appears to be an issue, with guests finding it difficult to navigate due to limited space, leading to an uncomfortable experience. The hotel’s location and surrounding neighborhood also attract critical remarks, though it is noted to be conveniently close to nicer areas.
On a positive note, some aspects such as the quality of coffee are appreciated, contributing to a feeling of luxury despite the overall assessment. Yet, certain incidents, such as the presence of an unwelcome cockroach or the lack of accessibility considerations, further detract from the hotel’s intended prestige.
In sum, while 202 Elizabeth may offer certain elements of luxury, many guests believe a reclassification to a four-star rating could set more accurate expectations and align better with the actual offerings of the hotel experience.
