Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Landgasthof Astner is a charming retreat celebrated for its serene and picturesque surroundings. Nestled near a highway, it offers exceptional convenience for road-weary travelers, providing ample parking and easy access. The inn's tranquil setting in a small town with beautiful natural scenery makes it ideal for quiet reflection, outdoor activities or as a base for skiing in Wildschönau. Guests appreciate the lovely views from the balconies, the peace and quiet and the on-site dining options, creating a perfect blend of accessibility and seclusion.
Breakfast at Landgasthof Astner generally receives positive feedback. The buffet is well-stocked with a good variety, including fresh rolls and warm egg dishes. While some guests found the breakfast basic and noted minor issues like frozen rolls and weak coffee, the overall sentiment is that it provides a satisfying start to the day with a good price-performance ratio.
Dinner is another highlight with guests enjoying the excellent menu at reasonable prices. The food is often described as tasty and plentiful, although some found the service basic and commented on a lack of unique local dishes. Despite occasional issues with the kitchen being closed, the dining experience is generally well-received for its quality and value.
The rooms at Landgasthof Astner offer a mixed experience. They are spacious and bright with beautiful mountain views and a charming rustic style. Cleanliness is generally up to standard, though some areas, like under the beds and the bathrooms, could use more attention. The furnishings are outdated and the rooms show signs of wear and tear, which might detract from the overall comfort for some guests. However, the ample space and natural light create a cozy atmosphere.
Staff at Landgasthof Astner are praised for their friendly and accommodating nature, contributing to a welcoming and hospitable environment. While there were occasional lapses in friendliness, the overriding sentiment is that the staff and owners strive to make guests feel at home.
Wi-Fi availability is limited with a weak and unstable signal mainly accessible in the reception area. This lack of connectivity might be inconvenient for guests relying on a stable internet connection.
Guest opinions about the beds are varied. Some found them cozy and comfortable, while others had issues with the mattresses and bed frames, mentioning that they were thin, hard or creaky. Freshness of the bedding was also a concern for some.
Overall, Landgasthof Astner provides good value for money, making it an acceptable choice for budget-conscious travelers. While the three-star rating might feel generous to some due to the dated facilities, the inn offers a reasonable price-performance ratio with essential amenities included. It's a comfortable and pleasant spot for those looking to enjoy a tranquil escape close to nature.
