Schloss Freudenfels is a magnificent and idyllic hotel located on a beautiful hilltop with stunning views of the Rhine and Lake Constance. The hotel offers a tranquil setting for travelers, surrounded by woods, a lovely rose garden and nearby biking trails. The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and attentive, ensuring that every need is met. The hotel's restaurant offers a variety of delightful local cuisines with many guests raving about the wonderful dinners they had every night. The breakfast buffet on the terrace is also a highlight with a fantastic view of the Rhine and delicious and delicate food. The spacious and modern rooms are clean and well-equipped with lovely garden views. The whole property, from the rooms to the overall grounds, is in tip-top shape, leading to a sense of comfort and relaxation during the stay. While some guests noted a small breakfast selection and an above-average number of flies due to the proximity to a nearby farm, the overall experience was fantastic. The hotel's breathtaking location more than makes up for any minor issues, making Schloss Freudenfels an excellent choice for any traveler looking for a peaceful retreat with comfortable rooms, delicious food and exceptional staff.
