Super 8 by Wyndham Austell/Six Flags enjoys an exceptionally convenient location for visitors to Six Flags Over Georgia, offering close proximity to the amusement park and easy access to major routes, downtown Atlanta and essential services. Despite the prime location and value for price, guests have significant mixed feedback on various aspects of their stay.
The breakfast experience typically garners dissatisfaction with common complaints about variety, quality and availability. Many found the offerings lacking and some reported breakfast being entirely absent due to COVID-19 protocols.
Opinions on the rooms are also varied. Some guests appreciated the spaciousness and comfortable beds. However, numerous issues regarding room conditions were noted, including unpleasant odors, outdated and malfunctioning appliances and general uncleanliness. Many felt that the accommodations require a thorough makeover.
Cleanliness issues are a major concern with frequent reports of dirty rooms, musty and smoky odors and dated conditions. The overall maintenance of the property, from bedding to public areas like the pool, suggests a need for significant improvement. The pool, while a potential draw, often fails to meet expectations due to issues with cleanliness and operational status.
Staff interactions range widely with many guests praising the friendliness and helpfulness of certain employees, particularly the owner. Nonetheless, inconsistent service, especially during nightly shifts, was a recurring problem, including issues with reservations, customer service demeanor and payment processing.
Wi-Fi services at the hotel often leave much to be desired with many guests experiencing connectivity issues and unreliable internet speeds. This inconsistency caused frustration, especially for those needing stable online access.
The bed quality generally meets expectations in terms of comfort, despite occasional issues with firmness and the cleanliness of the bedding. While some guests found the beds conducive to a good night's sleep, concerns about stains and proper housekeeping were evident.
Overall, Super 8 by Wyndham Austell/Six Flags has an ideal location for Six Flags visitors but faces substantial feedback regarding cleanliness, service quality and general upkeep that detract from the overall guest experience.
