Grande Albergo Quattro Stagioni, nestled in the heart of Rieti's historic city center, is celebrated for its strategic and picturesque location. As a noble palace on the main square, it offers stunning views of the rooftops and surrounding mountains, captivating guests with its old-fashioned charm and elegance. The convenience of free nearby parking further adds to its appeal. Guests commend the hotel for its cleanliness, often describing rooms and bathrooms as tidy and well-maintained, despite signs of aging in fixtures and furnishings.
The friendly and professional staff stand out as a highlight with special mentions of their exceptional service and attentiveness, particularly Marco at the front desk. This team is credited with creating a welcoming and homely atmosphere, significantly enhancing the overall guest experience.
Breakfast at the hotel receives mixed feedback. While many appreciate the plentiful buffet-style offerings in a charming former ballroom setting, others find the quality and variety lacking, particularly noting the predominance of sweet options and the absence of hot dishes.
The rooms are generally praised for their spaciousness, comfort and elegance with high ceilings and beautiful views adding to the attraction. However, updates are needed, especially in the bathrooms, where outdated fixtures detract from the overall experience. Similarly, the beds receive mixed reviews; some guests find them comfortable, while others struggle with sagging mattresses and old sofa beds.
Despite these areas for improvement, Grande Albergo Quattro Stagioni remains a charming choice for those seeking historic elegance and central convenience. The hotel's charming historical ambiance and exceptional staff continue to make it a favorite, though updates to the amenities and facilities could elevate it to better match its four-star rating.
