Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Krügers Hotel, conveniently located near the A2 highway, earns commendation for its central and accessible location, offering ease of travel by car and ample nearby parking. Its proximity to both the city and surrounding areas makes it an advantageous choice for car tourists seeking well-positioned accommodation.
The rooms are spacious and clean with several featuring large terraces and bathtubs, which contribute to a comfortable stay. Cleanliness is generally noted as a positive aspect, especially regarding spotless bathrooms. However, some elements such as outdated decor, non-functional heating and noisy streets detract from the overall experience. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel still offers a basic, reasonably priced option for budget-conscious travelers.
The staff at Krügers Hotel are frequently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness with many guests describing them as welcoming and pleasant. The approachable and accommodating owner stands out positively in the reviews, enhancing the guest experience significantly despite occasional language barriers and availability issues.
The beds receive mixed feedback with many guests finding them comfortable and appreciating the good mattresses and freshly made beds. However, some guests experience discomfort due to small bed sizes and the feeling of springs, indicating inconsistencies in bed quality.
One significant issue is the hotel's ongoing breakfast service interruptions, primarily due to kitchen renovations or a closed restaurant. This lack of breakfast availability has repeatedly disappointed guests, who often have to seek alternative options nearby, such as a McDonald's 500 meters away. Potential guests should be aware of this situation when booking.
Overall, Krügers Hotel offers a functional and budget-friendly accommodation option with excellent staff and a prime location, though it does come with some drawbacks in room amenities and breakfast availability.
