Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Fair Isle Motel enjoys a favorable reputation among its guests, primarily driven by its exceptional location, clean and spacious rooms and friendly staff. Ideally situated a short drive from Charlottetown, the motel strikes a balance between the bustling downtown and serene beaches, making it highly convenient for exploring attractions and events. Its proximity to the airport and quiet surroundings are appreciated for a restful stay with shopping, dining and entertainment options within easy reach. The location is particularly ideal for budget-conscious travelers, families and visitors to the north shore beaches or national park, enhanced by the availability of fully equipped kitchens in some rooms.
Accommodations at Fair Isle Motel are spacious and well-maintained, often exceeding guest expectations. Many rooms feature fully equipped kitchens, separate living areas and comfortable beds, creating a home-like atmosphere. Despite a dated exterior, the interiors are clean and well-decorated, providing modern and functional amenities. The affordability and excellent value for money are recurrent themes in reviews with the property offering comfort and convenience for short and extended stays.
The cleanliness of the motel receives mixed reviews. While many guests praise the establishment for its spacious and clean rooms, some issues with housekeeping standards, such as flies, mosquitoes, crumbs and mold, have been noted. Nevertheless, the staff's efforts in maintaining cleanliness and providing daily towel changes are generally appreciated.
The staff's hospitality is a standout feature of the motel with personnel frequently described as friendly, helpful and efficient. Guests have highlighted specific instances of staff members going above and beyond, enhancing the overall welcoming atmosphere. Despite an isolated remark about a language barrier, the consensus is that the team is committed to exceptional service.
The beds receive mixed feedback with some guests finding them very comfortable while others mention inconsistencies in firmness and pillow quality. Notwithstanding these variations, the clean rooms and washrooms contribute positively to the overall experience.
Fair Isle Motel is praised for being pet-friendly, offering grassy areas and green spaces for pets. However, some guests are dissatisfied with the additional pet-related charges, including a refundable deposit and an extra fee per dog. Despite this, the pet-friendly atmosphere remains a significant factor for guests choosing to stay at the motel.
In summary, Fair Isle Motel provides a comfortable and convenient stay, particularly excelling in its location, spacious rooms and friendly staff. While there are areas for improvement in cleanliness and bed consistency, the overall guest experience is positive, making it a notable choice for travelers visiting Charlottetown and its environs.
