Mas la Casassa is a charming hotel located just a short distance from Girona, praised for its idyllic rural setting that provides peace and tranquility while still being conveniently close to the city and key destinations. Guests love the historic ambiance of the former old rectory, featuring spacious and clean accommodations with lovely outdoor terraces and pool areas. The strategic location allows for easy exploration of the nearby area, making it an excellent base for discovering Girona and Sant Gregori.
The breakfast experience at Mas la Casassa is frequently highlighted as a standout feature. Guests describe it as diverse, generous and of high quality with a buffet offering a wide range of hot and cold dishes, ensuring there is something for everyone. The breakfast area is cozy and clean, adding to the overall dining enjoyment.
While the hotel does not provide dinner service, nearby restaurants like Can Xifra are highly recommended and guests generally find these options satisfactory. The spacious rooms are another highlight with many featuring enormous beds, cinema-sized TV screens, private pools and hot tubs, adding a luxurious touch that enhances the overall guest experience. Cleanliness throughout the hotel is meticulously maintained and the friendly, helpful staff further elevate the guest experience.
The hotel offers exceptional pool facilities, including beautiful heated pools and private pools in some rooms, though some guests expressed a desire for extended opening hours. Beds are generally praised for their comfort and spaciousness, contributing to restful sleep, though a few guests noted occasional issues with hardness or noise.
