Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Terantiga offers a serene and picturesque retreat, ideally situated for exploring nearby attractions such as Varignana Palace and the bustling city of Bologna. Guests can enjoy scenic walking and cycling routes, panoramic views from their balconies and a quiet, rural neighborhood perfect for a restful escape. The location is also convenient for accessing major highways, attending events in Castel San Pietro and taking short drives to explore the region.
The breakfast experience at Terantiga receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the good coffee, fresh products and charming outdoor veranda. However, the selection tends to be basic and on the sweeter side, lacking savory options with some concerns about variety and quality.
In contrast, the on-site restaurant garners consistent praise for its delightful and well-prepared meals, moderate prices and welcoming atmosphere. Guests particularly recommend dishes like the mixed grill and spaghetti Bolognese and appreciate the friendly, accommodating service. The restaurant's use of regional products and fixed menu options add to its charm, although non-Italian speakers may face a language barrier.
Rooms at Terantiga are spacious, clean and comfortable with some offering pleasant terraces overlooking the garden. Guests often commend the cleanliness and comfort despite some concerns about outdated furnishings and occasional maintenance issues. The hotel cleanliness generally meets expectations, though a few guests noted specific areas needing improvement.
The staff at Terantiga receive high praise for their exceptional service and kindness, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Their professionalism and cordial nature greatly enhance the guest experience, despite occasional language barriers.
Wi-Fi access at Terantiga is inconsistent with some guests experiencing excellent connectivity, while others face significant challenges. Beds are mostly comfortable, although some guests prefer firmer options and suggest improvements for mattresses and pillows.
Overall, Terantiga provides a tranquil and charming escape with commendable service, a delightful dining experience and comfortable accommodations, though there are areas such as breakfast variety and Wi-Fi consistency that could benefit from improvement.
