Hôtel Barrière le Grand Hôtel Enghien-les-Bains is a highly regarded establishment, known for its outstanding location just 20 minutes from Paris and its proximity to the scenic Lake Enghien. Guests appreciate the stunning views, tranquil environment and easy access to local amenities such as the casino, spa and dining options, making it ideal for both relaxation and exploration.
The breakfast experience receives mixed reviews; while many enjoy the exquisite and varied offerings, others feel it is overpriced with room for improvement in terms of variety and quality. Conversely, the hotel's dinner options are widely praised, particularly the exceptional cuisine at the on-site restaurant Le 85, renowned for its excellent food and value for money, contributing to a perfect dining atmosphere.
Rooms at the hotel are noted for their cleanliness, spaciousness and comfort, featuring serene lake views and comfortable beds. However, there is a consistent call for renovations to update the decor and facilities, which some guests find outdated. Cleanliness standards are generally high, but occasional lapses in maintenance are reported.
The staff at Hôtel Barrière le Grand Hôtel Enghien-les-Bains are frequently praised for their friendliness, professionalism and attentiveness, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience.
The hotel's spa is a significant highlight, offering modern and clean facilities with a range of amenities including a sauna, steam room, jacuzzis and fitness area. Guests commend the relaxing treatments and the serene ambiance, although minor complaints about temperature and access restrictions arise occasionally.
The pool facilities are also well-received, featuring multiple pools and an outdoor sauna, though some find the water temperature to be chilly at times. Despite minor inconveniences, the aquatic area leaves a positive impression.
Parking services are convenient but considered expensive by many guests. Still, the valet service and proximity of city parking provide manageable alternatives despite limited spaces during busy periods.
For families, the hotel is a comfortable and inviting destination with child-friendly amenities and dining options. However, the need for better-maintained facilities and confirmation of interconnecting rooms are noted. Restrictions on underage guests in some areas can impact planning.
Overall, Hôtel Barrière le Grand Hôtel Enghien-les-Bains offers a luxurious and enjoyable stay with outstanding location benefits, excellent dining and a relaxing spa experience, making it a favored choice for a serene retreat near Paris.
