Via Baltica is a highly convenient and strategically located hotel, favored particularly by transit travelers thanks to its easy access from the highway along the pivotal route between Kaunas and the Latvian border. Guests appreciate the ample parking and nearby amenities like a gas station that add to the convenience and the facility's cleanliness and coziness contribute positively to the experience. Late check-in options further enhance its appeal for those on the move.
The rooms are generally described as tidy, fairly quiet and well-equipped with essentials such as kettles and hairdryers. Comfortable beds and pillows, along with daily cleaning and fresh towels, make for a comfortable stay. However, some guests have reported issues such as worn-out linens, unpleasant odors and the need for bathroom renovations. Despite these drawbacks, the room quality often pleasantly surprises many visitors.
Cleanliness standards at Via Baltica receive mixed reviews. While many guests appreciate the clean and cozy environment, some have encountered issues such as dirty carpets, cobwebs and outdated bathrooms. Traffic noise and occasional tobacco smells through open windows have also been points of discomfort.
The hotel’s breakfast service receives mixed feedback. While some found the breakfast good and its taste satisfactory, others considered it minimal with limited choices and overpriced. The need to order breakfast separately upon check-in and the service starting at 9:00 AM could be potential drawbacks for some guests.
Dinner options at the hotel appear limited and restrictive. With the restaurant closing early and not operating on Sundays, guests often find themselves without in-house dining options in the evening. The lack of clear communication about restaurant hours further exacerbates dissatisfaction.
The staff at Via Baltica are consistently praised for their friendliness, professionalism and helpfulness. Efficient check-in processes and the warm, polite demeanor of the team significantly enhance the overall guest experience.
The beds receive mixed feedback with some guests finding them comfortable and praising the quality of beddings, while others noted discomfort and issues with cleanliness and maintenance.
Overall, Via Baltica impresses with its strategic location, convenient for transit travelers and a generally clean and cozy environment. Improvements in dining options, room maintenance and consistent cleanliness could further elevate the guest experience. The friendly and professional staff remain a standout feature, greatly contributing to the hotel’s appeal.
