Rooms
If you're looking for a comfortable and clean room with a great view, River Street Inn might just be the place for you. Guests rave about the comfortable beds and the great shape of the bathrooms. The hotel's style is unique with a super authentic feel and a historic type of comfort. The view of the water is amazing and many guests have opted for a balcony room. The building itself is also historic, which adds to the charm. Rooms have high ceilings and are clean, although some guests have noted the need for a deep clean in some cases. The size of the rooms varies with some guests finding them too small, while others had plenty of space for their stay. However, some guests were disappointed with the size, adequacy of the wardrobe and lack of frills. Another downside was the noise level, as some guests could hear their neighbors and air handlers. Overall, the location is perfect and the rooms are mostly comfortable, although some may have to temper their expectations if they're looking for truly high-end accommodations.

Guests of River Street Inn have noted the hotel's charming historic building, but what they appreciate even more is how clean it is kept by the friendly and helpful staff. Many guests have praised the hotel's overall cleanliness, using words like "lovely," "pretty," and "quaint." However, there are some criticisms from guests who found hair in their bathrooms, dusty rooms or unclean baseboards. RJ the parking attendant and Bryson the valet guy also receive high praise for going above and beyond. Some guests had mixed experiences with the front desk staff, but overall guests found the staff to be accommodating, knowledgeable about the area and excellent hosts. The valet personnel are mentioned as friendly, engaged and helpful, as are the concierges and bartenders. The only negatives mentioned were a rude morning staff member and one guest's experience with an overworked front desk. But overall, if you're looking for a hotel with a wonderful staff, River Street Inn is the way to go.
Parking
Guests of the River Street Inn have had mixed experiences with parking at the hotel. While some have had to pay extra and park elsewhere, others have praised the convenience of the valet service. RJ, the parking attendant, went above and beyond to find affordable parking options for guests. However, some guests were taken aback by the high cost of parking with some paying up to $39 per day. Some guests were disappointed that parking was not available for free with the cost of the room. Others were not happy with the added fees, including valet charges they did not use. Despite these concerns, some guests found the valet service convenient and getting in and out of the hotel was easy.
4 Star
The River Street Inn is a beautiful hotel in the heart of the historic district and close to the waterfront. The location is superb with plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The rooms are great with solid brick walls providing virtually zero sound transmission between rooms which is perfect for families with noisy kids. Although some guests believed it to be a 3-star hotel, most enjoyed their stay immensely with many describing it as amazing, wonderful and exceptional. The valets were courteous, prompt and friendly. While some people experienced customer service issues with the front desk, the overall experience and stay were great. However, some guests found the hotel to be too expensive overall and a few mentioned there was room for improvement to match the standards of a four-star hotel. Despite the minor issues, most of the guests enjoyed their stay and would come back again.
