fu costruita nel 1600 da Giuseppe Salamina per produrre olio di oliva e proteggerlo dagli attacchi dai pirati saraceni e turchi. Fu zona di battaglie e di eccellente produzione di olio. nel 1800 finiti gli attacchi dei pirati divenne anche residenza nobiliare. dal 1992 è azienda biologica ed agrituristica
