Livingstone Lodge has carved a niche for itself as a peaceful retreat enveloped in a serene neighborhood, characterized by lush greenery and a tranquil ambiance ideal for a relaxing getaway. Its location strikes a balance between seclusion and accessibility, offering convenient proximity to Victoria Falls and various attractions, with shopping centers nearby. The lodge’s setting allows guests to enjoy tranquility while still being within a short drive or leisurely walk from vibrant areas and dining options.
Guests frequently commend the breakfast at Livingstone Lodge for its hearty and delicious options, setting a positive tone for the day. The breakfast offers sound value for the room price, although some guests mention a desire for more variety. The culinary offerings during lunch and dinner have fewer praises due to their limited menu, but the available dishes impress with quality and taste, complemented by a pleasant dining atmosphere. However, guests are encouraged to explore nearby dining alternatives, which can be costly.
Rooms at the lodge receive high marks for their cleanliness, spaciousness, and comfortable beds, enhanced by lively decor and large windows. Some rooms have been newly refurbished, although there are sporadic mentions of worn-out aspects. While a lack of air conditioning may be a slight inconvenience, the rooms offer a comfortable haven for families and groups, supported by extremely accommodating staff, making for an overall satisfactory stay.
Livingstone Lodge places a strong emphasis on cleanliness, with tidy and inviting rooms and meticulously maintained communal areas, such as the swimming pool. Guests appreciate the small but refreshing pool as a charming feature, although some note occasional maintenance needs.
The lodge staff consistently earn high praise for their exceptional friendliness and helpfulness, contributing significantly to creating a welcoming environment. Specific mentions of staff members like Shakespeare and Thulani underscore the personalized and attentive service that enhances each guest's experience.
While WiFi connectivity poses challenges with spotty coverage, it remains a serviceable option for basic online tasks. Overall, Livingstone Lodge delivers a warm, clean, and comfortable retreat, bolstered by energetic staff and a delightful setting, offering guests a peaceful and convenient base from which to explore the wonders of Victoria Falls.
