Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Birkelund Camping offers a serene and comforting escape, beautifully nestled in nature near a river which enhances its peaceful allure. Guests enjoy the quiet, spacious setting equipped with convenient facilities such as a kitchen and laundry amenities, and engaging activities including mini golf and a sauna. The campsite serves as a great starting point for hikes, offering stunning mountainous views, and is particularly family-friendly with its appealing playground. Visitors have the option of staying in charming cabins or well-equipped rooms, which promise a comfortable blend of nature and homeliness.
While the cleanliness of cabins and shower facilities is generally appreciated for their neatness and well-maintained condition, some communal areas could benefit from more regular upkeep. Despite this, guests still find the site to offer good value, and overall enjoy their stay amidst the imperfections.
The staff at Birkelund Camping receive high praise for their accommodating and friendly nature, often described as the best many guests have experienced. The welcoming and helpful demeanor of the hosts enriches the atmosphere significantly, contributing to the satisfaction of the guests, although there are occasional mentions of less welcoming interactions.
The cozy cabins mostly feature comfortable beds, ensuring restful sleep, though some find double beds slightly small, especially for taller adults. While a few mattresses are noted as being thin or needing replacement, particularly in cabins 11 and 12, the overall charm and comfort of the sleeping arrangements are appreciated by guests.
In summary, Birkelund Camping offers a tranquil refuge complemented by friendly service and cozy accommodations, making it an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation amidst beautiful natural surroundings.
