Proximity to attractions like a nearby cable car and scenic city vistas add to its appeal.
The dining experiences at the hotel are consistently praised, notably the abundant and high-quality breakfast buffet, featuring a wide variety of breads, juices and cakes. Meals are described as homemade and delicious with lunch and dinner offering a variety of salads, side dishes and tasty desserts. Despite minor suggestions for more fruit options and occasional bland dishes, the overall feedback on the food is overwhelmingly positive.
Guests find the chalets spacious, clean and cozy with beautiful views. Maintenance could improve certain aspects, such as mattress comfort, but the accommodations are generally pleasant and impeccably clean. Despite some chalets being older and lacking modern amenities like air conditioning, they are well-ventilated and free from any unpleasant odors.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel is a standout feature with consistently spotless rooms and well-maintained facilities, including clean and climate-controlled pools. The heated pools, both indoor and outdoor, are particularly favored for their perfect temperature and cleanliness. The addition of a water park with a waterslide enhances the fun, especially for families.
The staff at Hotel Fazenda São Matheus are frequently highlighted for their politeness, attentiveness and dedication, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Individual staff members like Sandra and Cafu receive special mentions for their exceptional service, contributing to the overall positive guest experience.
One area for improvement is the Wi-Fi availability, as access is limited to social areas and the restaurant with no signal in the rooms or chalets. Guests suggest that extending Wi-Fi coverage to private accommodations could enhance their stay.
